Childcare

Our nurseries, whether purpose built or converted, are carefully designed to ensure that they offer the best possible environment for children’s day care. Your child’s security starts at the front door where only known visitors are allowed access to the nursery. Where possible, each room has access to the facilities that are needed to ensure that the children’s welfare is met, e.g. milk kitchen in the babies’ rooms or toilets for toddlers and pre-school children. All children have access to our garden areas as we recognise that outdoor play is essential to the healthy development of children. Our gardens are age segregated and have a range of age specific toys and activities for the children.

Just Learning knows that employing and retaining good quality staff is essential for us to provide the best possible care for the children at nursery. Our staff are carefully selected and thoroughly checked before their appointment to ensure their suitability for working with young children. As well as a detailed induction programme our staff are offered regular training and are supported if they are studying for a childcare related qualification which can range from an NVQ to the degree level Early Years Professional. All our nurseries follow the requirements of the regulators to ensure that the correct ration of children to staff is adhered to at all times.

We value feedback from our parents and each nursery operates an open door policy which encourages parents to visit whenever they want to and to raise any concerns or suggestions for improvement that they may have with the nursery management team as and when they arise. We carry out a parental survey on an annual basis to evaluate the service we provide and share the results. Each nursery produces a regular newsletter keeping parents informed of the exciting things that are happening shortly.
