When it comes to choosing childcare most parents will visit several nurseries to find the one that suits them best. However, having visited a number of nurseries comparing what the likely costs are going to be can be difficult. This is because most nurseries have different opening hours or lengths of sessions and some provide everything while others charge for additional services.
Just Learning recommends that you work out the days/hours that you will need childcare and discuss the cost for these with the Nursery Manager when you visit the nursery. It is important that you know when you will want to use the nursery because the cost can be affected by the number of sessions or days that you require. Our fees include a discount if you book a full day‘s care compared to two sessions or if you book a full week compared to 5 days.
Helping Reduce the Cost of Your Childcare:
Childcare Vouchers
All our nurseries accept Childcare Vouchers. These are a simple, straightforward way to pay for quality childcare.
Childcare Vouchers are an employee benefit available to all eligible working parents whose employers run the scheme. Childcare Vouchers are available to both basic and high rate tax payers.
Working parents are entitled to exchange a portion of their gross salary for Childcare Vouchers, up to the value of £243 per month, or £55 per week .
This portion of your pay is exempt from Tax and National Insurance Contributions, which means you can make savings of up to £1,196* per year on your childcare costs.
Both parents can take Childcare Vouchers which increases the potential saving to £2,392* per family, per year – that’s a saving of almost £200 a month.
We accept many different types of voucher but please check first with the nursery to ensure that your employer’s scheme is on our list.
